The 1.2.0.3 (2008-07-16)

At least 3 wonderful improvements and some minors:
  • Now Scripts can be uploaded with success on any Opensim grid
  • Supported the Xml-RPC login in order to login in any possible grids, especially Litesim
  • Upload cache (sorta) that keep in memory the textures already uploaded during the transfer in another grid. This would avoid to flood the simulator with tons of uploads for the same textures
  • Minors: Default folder can append the grid code, improved Advanced Restore, Auto-logoff and Auto-close at the end of the folder backup, basic Crash report

Restore of sculpties seems to work better in the new version. Scripts also restore fine on OSGrid. There still seems to be some texture issues. I believe you know about the issue of textures not maintaining their names in inventory. The other issue with textures is that blank textured and colored prims seems to restore with their texture set to transparent. Strangely, the setting of transparent is not shown anywhere in the EDIT dialog. The EDIT dialog cant be used to change the prims texture back to non-transparent. The only way I have found to fix these prims is to use the texture dialog to toggle the prim texture to DEFAULT, then back to BLANK.

Keep up the good works!

Oh, I see from reading the BUGS thread here that this issue is probably caused by the BLANK texture not being present. The texture is stored in the client, not in the world.

I believe I understand the issue with the blank texture. I believe I understand the workaround. If I could suggest another solution? The Linden grid UUID for the blank texture is 5748decc-f629-461c-9a36-a35a221fe21f. This never changes. This is also the UUID for the blank texture on OSGrid and probably all other grids which run OpenSim software. Could Second Inventory's ADVANCED RESTORE have an option (maybe a default) to automatically replace this UUID with a valid blank texture when this UUID is seen to appear in the list of UUID's which are going to be restored?
