The 1.0.0.9 was just released (2008-04-11)

We are proud to release the v1.0.0.9. Opensim focused, it has an improved Restore Engine (accessible from the Advanced Restore button) that allows you to fully recreate the items and their assets in any other grid.

Not only primitives but also skin, shape, textures, clothes and etc. It has also A new internal Filesystem, more secure, more flexible and ready for future purposes. Next version, finally will include also the whole folder backup, currently in beta test.

Well, it should have been released today, I announced it for the 25 April. Unfortunately i forgotten that today is a day off in Italy. It is the 'freedom day', this day is taken as symbolic of the Liberation of Italy. So no updates until tomorrow

Installing the update broke it for me. Now it says The license you purchased is intended per Computer, you can't share it with other users, This abuse was reported! Contact us for further information about volume discount.

Angelo, perhaps English is not your first language, so I offer some friendly advice. This statement implies clearly that I tried to steal this software, that I tried to install it on more than one computer (which I did not), and that I have abused the right to install, which was in turn "reported."

Then it disabled the software are though I were a thief until I got in touch with you to fix it.

That's just not nice. First, I strongly suggest you change that wording to something less offensive that does not imply theft. Second, disabling something I paid good money for only serves to piss off the guy who paid you. The thief, he will find a way around this. The honest guy, me, I have to deal with a hassle. Its not a good policy.

I installed the updated onto my Mac, using Parrallels, and then I got that message and it disabled my software.

While I know that you can do something to fix this, honestly, if this is how it will work moving forward, then just refund my money and I won't use it. I really don't want to hassle with contacting you and your company each time I try to update if I have to deal with this.

You are wrong Von, it doesn't disable your license, it just avoid to run it on another computer. You can run it in the original pc without problems, so I don't understand what are you saying.

Regarding the phrase, i got your suggestion I'm changing it in something less aggressive, thank you for reporting it. Anyway that phrase is not intended for the lecit owner of SI but for those who got SI in a non lecit way. We needed to put that check due to avoid that SI can be spreaded. Maybe to avoid is a big word, let's say to make it harder.

This sort of protection is pretty common in the software market (MS, Adobe, etc), anyway if you change pc you can ask to the staff to reset your hardware data and they will handle it without problem, and if you need to run SI in multiple pc, you can buy an additional pc license for just 6€.

Regarding the refund, since we allowed the local host grids, we can't refund more, especially if the user ran SI multiple times.

I don't WANT a refund, I want to runt the install and not have this happen. Perhaps your code looks at the Parallels install of Windows differently? I am running it on the very same Mac running it that I tested it on, the night I bought it when you told me if it did not work you would give me a refund. I have not really tested it yet, as I was waiting for the "folders" version so that it was usable for me, otherwise I have to tag so many files for download it would take all week.

It was installed on ONE machine, and one only. The one I am typing to you from. It still says, "The license you purchased is intended per Computer, you can't share it with other users. This abuse was reported! Contact us for further information about volume discount."

This is obviously an error or a bug on the software's part in not identifying my machine where the license is legal, the only one it has ever been on. How will you fix my immediate issue with it, and what will you do to keep this from happening in the future?

To make sure there is nothing lost in translation:

Only ONE machine has this software on it.

It is the SAME MACHINE it was installed on before.

It stopped working and gave the "you have been reported" error when I did the install of the new version.

Nothing changed on my end except for trying to install the new version. It is not running on more than one machine and has NEVER run on more than one machine.

I cannot uninstall the application, it crashes the uninstaller with I do. I cannot uninstall it from the Control Panel, either, same results. I also cannot get the application to run since I installed the update, without the error code that thinks it is on different computer.

I tried reinstalling it over the last one, but it throws the same error up about it being a different machine.

So I am kind of stuck. It does not run as-is, stopping when it says I have put it on a different machine. It does not uninstall. I cannot re-install successfully.

I will try to manually uninstall it now and try another fresh install.
