Simple tutorial for backing up/restoring mesh clothing

Postby Rachel Darling on Thu Aug 19, 2010 5:44 pm

I would like to back up my mesh clothing, which I created, from one grid to another -- including, obviously, the textures that were used to make the clothing. I'm the creator on all these items (both the clothing and the textures). Is there anyplace on the site that has a simple, step-by-step tutorial on how to do this, including what my default settings should be for Backup and Advanced restore?

I'll be backing up the items on InWorldz and restoring them to Second Life, so across grids.

Thanks.

Disappointed at not seeing any responses as yet -- surely someone has transferred clothing (with their textures) between grids?

For me, the clothing does not come across with textures. I've tried individually transferring (backup/import) and putting it in a box and transferring the box. The clothing still all comes out grey. Any help on the backup/export and restore settings would be extremely helpful.

Thanks (crosses fingers)
