SI and Mac Os X - Error with validation

Postby babeth on Fri Jul 23, 2010 10:04 am

Hello,

I can launch SI on a Mac with Crossover and Dot net 2.0, but it fails to obtain a response of the server while checking the serial at startup. I get this :

Failed to obtain a response
ReceivedFailure

Thank you

According with our tests, it seems that Crossover has some problem to handle SSL connections, further tests are under execution.

Yet another update, we are preparing a special version of SI that should be able to work around the SSL issue on Mac / Linux using SslEnabler / Stunnel.

Any more progress?

Please at least update the forums in this post or do a sticky regarding Linux / Mac version status. It is obvious that since the software can be installed, setup, and initiate server connection that it is something simple at this point. For those of us that have referred a LOT of people to this service and continue to use it loyally - it would be nice to be able to use it in our native environments.

Especially for those of us who no longer have a valid windoze license, had a hardware failure, and had to reinstall a couple of days ago. Now I don't even have my virtual box with WinXP on it so I can run the ONLY piece of software I ever ran in it.... SI. lol

Thank you for your time
