Help needed, keep getting error logging into openlifegrid

Hi im new to the forums here but have been having the same trouble for the last couple of days, i cannot now log into openlifegrid.com through second inventory. does anyone else have this problem, of a pop up saying you have the wrong/compatible version please download from openlifegrid.com. if so could you please tell me what to do this program wasn't cheap and i'm hoping that it hasn't been banned from openlife.Or is there an update coming to fix this?

Sakai, the Openlife's owner has blocked the access to OL for every client except their own. We don't known the reason of this choice atm.

Yep..so it seems everyone is having this problem. There are going to be alot of unhappy people..alot of people have lost money because of this..alot of money. Sakai will loose alot of money too because people will leave Open Life.

Hi,

sakai from openlife just made an announcement

" Yesterday we implemented changes to the login system to talk to the current viewer, this has shutout Si access until someone from Second Inventory makes contact with us so we can know more about the software (there is information we need in order for the login system to accept it), however since we started we've not heard from anyone at Second Inventory. Hopefully this will change soon "

So could someone please contact sakai and help get this situation resolved, it would be much appreciated :) ty

Lack of Support

This is a complaint I have heard time and time again, from countless users: they buy SecondInventory and that's the last they hear from the creator or the company.

I know of several support tickets that have been filed-- with no response whatsoever.

I know that Sakai of 3DX (OpenLife) has contacted the company requesting specific information so that SecondInventory can be integrated for use to OpenLife. Report thus far is he hasn't heard a word back. As a result-- SecondInventory no longer works with OpenLife.

Recommendation: get your act together folks. There's nothing customers hate worse than a non-responsive company-- and nothing that will earn a company a bad reputation faster than failing to support those who have already bought the product.

Just to be clear here. That is not what Sakai said exactly at least not on the forums where he responded. His words were:

This implies that 3DX made an upgrade and SI is locked out "until someone from Second Inventory makes contact". I see that quote as more or less saying "we did an upgrade and now it is up to SI to contact us to see what we can do".

He also said not to blame OLG or SI for the mess. (I reserve comment on that) but included this:

Should we get some the information required from Second Inventory creators, then we can work on allowing access and determining if it is/isn't causing issues. Without this information it's not possible for us to open the login doors because the login services don't know who it's talking to.


So maybe SI devs are working on getting what he needs or maybe they were never asked and everyone is just assuming SI needs to follow OpenLife's grid issues and know what is happening before anyone else?

Also though SI can be used on other grids the original intention of the software that us early purchasers were aware of was to back up your SL stuff in case of asset server there. OLG is the only grid that installed a patch that stopped SI from working. Is it now up to SI to make a fix around that? Maybe. Though as advertised I do not see where they have made a guarantee that it would work on all grids always. They have provided info on how to make it work for 99.9% of the grids out there though.

3DX just installed the patch.. give SI a chance to figure out if they can do anything (or even if they are obligated to do anything) before you jump in guns blazing about an OLG decision. ;) This may be an easy fix before it is all over.

It seems Sakai has contacted SI. Wayfinder (whom I trust and is a straight shooter) posted here http://olxchange.ning.com/profiles/blogs/keeping-customers-in-the-loop that he contacted Sakai and Sakai said he had contacted SI.

So apologies for correction in what Sakai said, I only had the forums to go by.

Now it is up to SI to decide if this constitutes something they are required to support. Looking at the main site it is all mention of SL and the about links say it works with "compatible grids". Of course compatibility is a loose cannon in this. ;)

Actually I did, yesterday I tried to contact Sakai in-game but with no lucky.
