Trying to run SI with CrossOver for Linux

Trying to run SI with CrossOver for Linux, I have:
- installed '.NET 2.0'
- installed Second Inventory

When I run SI, it open the splash window saying: "Contacting server..."
from the firewall monitor I see opened a new HTTP connection toward 81.174.52.181
and then it remains with the splash window opened, until i force it to quit.

So, other than the .NET framework, on which other libraries SI depends?

Hello Michele, welcome on the forum.

I knew that issue because we tried Wine (Cross over) as well and we have gotten the same error. If you run SI from a console instead than double clicking on the icon, you should get more info about the error and if you lookup on google the whole error code you should find a work around. You should create a file named SecondInventory.exe.config with thew work around that you'll find on google. Unfortunately I tried it some months ago so I don't remember the details, I'll ask to Angelo more info on that and I'll keep you informed about the progresses. Also, be sure to use the latest version of Wine otherwise you can encounter some cryptographic errors.

if you want to see more details about the issue run SecondInventory.exe -debug from the console.
